Certification of Commendation   THE COMMANDING GENERAL, FLEET MARINE FORCE, PACIFIC   takes pleasure in commending   SERGEANT BENJAMIN A. DRAKE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS   for   Outstanding performance of duty while serving with the Third Reconnaissance Battalion, Third Marine Division, from 29 October to 14 November 1973. During this period, Sergeant Drake attended Fleet Marine Force, Pacific, Career Information and Counseling Course conducted by the Third Marine Division, and distinguished himself by achieving the highest scholastic standing in a class of twenty-two Marines. His academic excellence in mastering the many topics presented in this concentrated and professional course of instructions clearly reflects great effort and determination on his part and significantly enhances his ability to influence and encourage qualified individuals to choose the Marine Corps as a career. Sergeant Drake's initiative, professional acumen, and loyal devotion to duty earned the respect and admiration of all who associated with him and were keeping with the finest traditions of the United States Marine Corps.
