BABY KILLER
Baby Killer!
Is that what you called me?
How good for you,
That it's not true.
Baby Killer!
That is what you called me.
Is that what you see,
When you look into me?
I went to war in your place,
Because you were afraid to go.
You hid behind groups of peace,
While in the name of peace, you rioted.
I shed my blood on the battlefield,
For an ideal in which this country was founded.
While you wore flowers in your hair,
And smoked pot.
I wore camouflage utilities,
And slept on a blanket in the rain.
While you wore peace signs,
And slept in communals.
I gave my last measure of bravery,
To drag my comrades out of an ambush.
And you call me Baby Killer?
Is that what you called me?
